Day 7: April PAD 2013 – Sevenling (Long Walks)

I learned about a new poetic form, today! As part of the challenge for the day, a “sevenling” is due. Apparently, it’s a seven line poem in 2 tercets and a single line. Each stanza is supposed to have 3 things that are related, with the last line pulling everything together. Bonus points if it’s mysterious and leaves some things to the imagination. Here is my first attempt.

Sevenling (Long Walks)

Long walks with you,
In rhythmic steps,
My hands perspire.

You, in the gym,
As I walked in,
Others always near.

Dude, get off my treadmill.
