Day 9: April PAD 2013 – Looney in the Woods

A ʺhunterʺ poem drew me toward Elmer Fudd so badly that I couldn’t help writing a (hopefully) funny poem for today’s April PAD challenge.

Looney in the Woods

A hunting cap upon my head,
My gun in hand, I slowly sped,
Between the trees and through the wood,
To find that rabbit, if I could.
He tricked me as I looked around.
Elusive one, could not be found,
So that is when I learned to say it:
“Be wery wery quiet, I’m hunting wabbit.”
