Day 26: April PAD 2013 – The Master Casting

The Master Casting

English: Green Highlander salmon fly. The hook...

Silver thread and magic fingers,
A hook bent to the will,
Warping colors to patterns,
Casting life stripped from quills.

See the master preparing;
Casts a spell for the fool.
Breathing life toward a hatchling;
Flitters subtly, on queue.

Treading softly into water,
Those around cast a look,
Knowing the master won’t falter,
Drawing fish to the hook.

An illusionary tactic,
Casting flies on the line.
Then a haul, quite galactic,
And a trophy trout, fine.

A “casting” poem for April PAD challenge (Day 26).  I tried to play off the word casting in each stanza, while using it in a different way.
