Life’s Storms

The storms. They come, we must prepare
for tempests strong. Do not retreat,
this battle must be fought with care.
The storms, they come. We must prepare.
We all must fight with all we dare.
Sustained by will, we can defeat
the storms. They come. We must prepare
for tempests strong do not retreat.

Last month, I was introduced to the “triolet” poetic form.  I fell in love with it because the form encourages you to play with the meaning of words and their arrangement.  I thought it was a perfect form to write about storms as a metaphor for how we must face life’s toughest trials.
