Mother’s Day Haiku

English: Mother's Day cardInspired by Mom

Inspirational
Teacher, healer, guide and friend.
In a word: Mother

—-
Led by Mom

Mother’s direction –
She teaches navigation,
Along life’s river.

—-
Protected by Mom

Fearless guide of life
Navigates treacherous paths,
Protecting her child.

OK, I admit it, these are Senryu, not Haiku.  And I further admit that they’re a little late in response to the Carpe Diem prompt for Saturday.  Given the topic and meaning behind them, I still felt compelled to write them.

This was real nice. I wrote it on a card I gave to my mom today. (It’s her birthday.)
    🙂
    Thanks.
