Fortune, Not by Chance

Spin life’s wheel and choose,
Paths you built with character.

Carpe Diem posted a prompt for haiku related to the Wheel of Fortune.  I took the title and focused on our fortunes.  I don’t put much stock in luck as there isn’t anything we can do about random happenings.  Instead, I like to cheat by hedging my bet.  Prepare yourself by working heard and you’ll essentially make your own luck.  That’s the direction I tried to take with these Senryu.
