Flaming Desires

My burning heart, so full of flame is aching with desire.
The needs I feel are not so new they seized me from the start.
For you’re the one and always been the reason it’s on fire,
My burning heart.

A smile from you will drive me wild, emotions off the chart!
For in your soul is found a friend who truly does inspire
my life in ways, so beautiful; I simply call it art.

Imagined touch, a memory, your singing like the lyre
are little things you’ve done for me from which I cannot part.
For this desire, consuming me, will simply not expire
my burning heart.

Inspired by a flag and a friend.  This roundel was a lunchtime diversion that speaks of desire that can’t be extinguished.
