Our world is incredible, an amazing expanse. But in the words of Carl Sagan, it can be viewed as a “pale blue dot”. We’re a tiny oasis in a galactic sea.
Searching for something beyond
Seized by ethereal cold
There’s no place like home
Mother Earth, herself
Center of the universe
Little pale blue dot
This prompt was written about the world. It is a reflection of a prompt for Carpe Diem #207. I wrote it as a trio. My thought process centered around the infamous “pale blue dot” picture taken by the spaceship Voyager in the 1990. It makes me feel kind of small in this incredible universe of ours. In just a few pixels, it captures our entire universe.
