Imagination

It felt like a good day for a haiku. This trio uses a little imagination as I lose myself in a flower.

Flower

Flower (photo by Chèvrefeuille)

Splashes of orange
Beauty blooming in green spaces
Hidden surprises

Entrancing petals
Rose diamonds sparkle afield
Lovely solitude

Whispering flower
Carry its tale of summer
A lifetime’s journey

These haiku were written for the Carpe Diem daily haiku prompt, Imagination #5. I enjoyed my reflection on the photo. We were supposed to let our imagination run wild and write our haiku about the picture that was presented. It’s included at the top of the post.

  1. Gene … this is a wonderful series of haiku inspired on the Chinese Rose … that third haiku is really awesome and has somewhat mysterious in it … very nice.

  2. Ese' s Voice says:

All three are beautiful but i am drawn the most to the “lovely solitude” one. Thoughts of different shades that bring serenity.

  3. Maggie Grace says:

Very nice. Especially like the third one.
