There is little more valuable than one’s freedom.  Sometimes it’s a curse and sometimes a blessing.  But it’s always a gift we should treasure.

Shackled aptitude.
Founders until vision clears
Heavenly yearnings

Aspiring passion
Leaps of ground-defying faith
Liberating souls

Challenging limits
Pursuing those star-filled dreams,
Unearthing freedom

This haiku trio was written for the Carpe Diem #257 challenge, prompting for a poem about Liberation.

  1. Sometimes freedom needs to be sought and not just expected or hoped for. Sometimes we need to fight for the peace of freedom. Sometimes we need to fight ourselves, our attitudes and our sense of values. Interesting series of haiku.

Yes, I feel it too 🙂

  5. Your words soar. Now, I have an impertinent question: Are you pursuing your own star-filled dreams?

Your words soar, like the bird in your photo!
