Starting with a Glance

Alright, I admit it. I’m quickly becoming addicted to this form of poetry. I like the flow and it’s fun to read with it’s meter and rhyme. I hope you enjoy this made up love story in gwawdodyn form.

Highest HopesStarting with a Glance

Beautiful ginger with lovely eyes
of colors so deep as bluest skies.
Perhaps there’s a chance you’ll give me a glance,
for just a smile, would be such a prize.

Oh silly boy, with eyes opened wide,
grasping for words as if you’re tongue tied.
I wish we could meet, at least a short greet,
or maybe you can sit here, beside.

Just a minute with you, pretty girl,
on the dance floor, we’ll give it a whirl.
So partner with me, and then we can see
how much fun we will have when we twirl.

Those feet are light and you are so kind,
but keep eyes up, remember my mind.
For I’m into you, as long as you’re true,
and respect will go far, you will find.

And then the deal was sealed with a kiss,
wrapped in promise of ongoing bliss.
lovers emerging, their lives are verging,
with excitement they won’t want to miss!
