First Boot

This is a deviation from the normal haiku I might normally write.  This time, I’m venturing into the real of SciFaiku.  See if you can spot the difference.

Baby Robot by Shawn Amberger

Finger impressions.
Touches sparking an impulse.
Creation compiles.

Barriers broken.
Emerging intent; Alive.
Newborn surprises.

Spontaneous life.
Flesh transformed – myriad bits,
intelligent cloud.

As much as I enjoy nature, I’m also a SciFi geek at heart. I suspect that this newly discovered form might become a new favorite. For more, check out SciFaiku.com.

This poem was a take on the spontaneous creation of life in the computing world. I wonder when we’ll cross the realm from biological life as we know it, to the life we see in movies like Centennial Man or when watching Watson on Jeopardy.
