“Sweat Lodge” Haiku

Earth in the Rann of Kutch cracking as it dries

Dry, scorching, summer
Spiderweb cracks on parched earth
Raindrop mendicant

Naked sun, staring
Its searing intent, exposed
Refuge in shadows

Indifferent days
Passing like barren winter
I’m thirsting for spring

The effect of summers is very well captured. A very well written set. I particularly liked the first one.

  2. Beautifully composed trio Gene … it’s a heralding song for summer … very well written. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Beautifully crafted Gene.
