The Year Gone By

English: Father Time and Baby New Year from Fr...

Born to us from Winter’s heart,
it’s there you now return.
But every season had it’s part,
with things that I will yearn.

By the month and by the days,
time was ticking down,
as we lived through the many ways
this year will be renown.

Aged one of recent lore,
we’ll think on how you send
this remembrance galore.
But now, your time must end.

As you leave another comes
though never will replace
the memories we have in sums,
and always must embrace.
